Not sure if this is the right place to post this or not so feel free to move it.
How do I get a background to not tile. There is nothing worse than seeing a tiled background on a forum. And yes I know it can be done in Photoshop but not always easy to do with some backgrounds.

Is it that you're trying to remove the tile design from a background image, or you're trying to make the image stay fixed in the background of the forum?

I know how to keep it so it stays fixed.
I have so many beautiful backgrounds I use for my forum and others. But alas a lot of times they tile and that just looks tacky.

Ah ok. If you post an example of a background that does that I can see what I can come up with & let you know!

Thank you, that helps! I will work on this Sunday evening for you. spice to get this right, would you not like those lines to separate the image? Or would you like for the image to be enlarged and fit in the middle of the background without tiling?

Emmie, I don't expect you to fix it for me. If there is an easy way to do it, then I would love to hear about it. I have been using a program called 2020 to get it to tile seamlessly, and sometimes the results look not too bad. I know Adobe uses the clone stamp tool, but that isn't always easy and the results don't always look right. Thanks for your help.

I feel bad for not having this done sooner. I've been crazy busy this past week. I thought I'd have a break during the weekend, but I had a lot going on. spice what I'm going to try is the feather effect around the images and see how that looks. I'll post it in a couple of days and let you know my findings. Maybe you could try it as well if that program has it. I'll play around with it using my Corel PSP X.

Oh please don't. It's been a crazy week for me as well. Had to deal with my husband getting second degree burns on his chest, arm and hands. Then trying to make 12 themes for christmas. I have PSP 9 as well as Adobe Photoshop CS6

Aside from hurting like the dickens and looking like a hideous freak, yes! But he has great healing powers and while he will have the marks for months yet it looks like they may not scar.
